MASCULINE AND FEMININE ENERGY

In the universe, there is a perfect pattern of masculine and feminine energy dancing together in balance and harmony. Sadly, the abuse that happens between men and women on this planet is a grotesque distortion of that pattern.

Recently in the news, there have been so many stories of sexual assault on women by men in prominent positions in our country. As I hear the anguished cries of millions of wounded women, the following prayer comes to me: “Mother Spirit, hear the pain of your children who, in many parts of this world, are considered to be lesser people by virtue of being born female. Comfort us, protect us from further assault to body and spirit, and strengthen us to rise up and claim our rightful place on this planet.”
