When I pull out a copy of this book fourteen years after I wrote it, I realize its message of inclusion and oneness is still relevant. Perhaps even more relevant than the day it was published. It speaks to the problem of racism in this country, of the distrust of those who are different than us, of the deep divide between political parties, of international relations in a world fraught with power struggles. As the book concludes,
What mystery is this? How can this be? I am you, you are him, he is her, she is me. The answer is simple when it's all said and done. The deepest down truth is that we are all one.
